It doesn’t look familiar, does it?
Voyah, a subbrand of the Chinese Dongfeng conglomerate presented interesting concepts at the 2020 Beijing Motor Show. The marque’s electric SUV is already in production. It is a unique concept that appeals to Chinese car buyers.
Voyah’s booth featured another concept. The i-Land concept is a fully-electric coupe with gullwing door and penned in by Italdesign This last bit should be obvious if your industry is closely followed, but we’ll let these images speak for themselves Familiar? Are you familiar with Italdesign’s DaVinci concept?, which was unveiled at last year’s Geneva Motor Show?
Although the Voyah concept cars and the Voyah iLand aren’t identical, you can see the similarities in the silhouette, fascia and, of course, the gullwing door. The Voyah’s iconic corporate logo is prominently displayed on the i-Land. This Italian design company also designed the logo.
Check out all the latest news from the Beijing Motor Show According to the official release Italdesign was involved in the development of i-Land – starting with the human-machine interface and ending with the engineering design and construction of concept vehicles.
The layouts of both Italdesign and Voyah’s concepts inside are very similar, but they differ in how they look. Voyah has almost the same central tunnel and steering wheel. The Chinese concept has many screens, and the Voyah logo can be found all over the cabin. This is what makes the interior different.
Voyah stated that the i-Land would “should spawn a model in the near future”. The company promises L3 and higher autonomous driving capabilities with the production vehicle, although we aren’t sure when.
