New wheel designs are available, and Nightshift Blue can be added to RS trims.
General Motors CEO Mary Barra declared that an electric Chevrolet Blazer was coming soon at the start of 2022. The announcement may have served two purposes for General Motors: it teased the electrified crossover and distracted us from the facelifted standard model that was just released for the 2023 model years.
If you find it difficult to see the changes, we don’t blame. The new 2023 Chevrolet Blazer’s front fascia features redesigned corner vents, and a mesh-style grille. The grille is now connected to the corner vents by a narrow strip of black trim. The LED headlights have also been updated for 2023, though they retain the same general shape. You’ll also find updated taillights at the rear that have the same overall form but with the horizontal Y elements removed from the housings.
The new Blazer will take you behind the wheel. It features the same layout as the previous years with one exception. The new center touchscreen measures 10 inches, compared to the 8-inch screen. The touchscreen now extends above the dash but all buttons and controls remain in the same spot.
The options list includes a Nightshift Blue interior for RS trim levels. Wireless charging is also available throughout the range. There are new wheel designs in sizes 18-inch to 21-inch. The exterior palette now includes Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic and Copper Bronze Metallic as well as Radiant Red Tintcoat.
Chevrolet is a simple car. The standard mill is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder engine that produces 228 horsepower (170kilowatts). Blazers can have all-wheel drive. The up-spec engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 308 horsepower (230 kW). All Blazers run through a nine speed automatic transmission.
The 2023 Blazer will be on sale in the summer 2022. The pricing will be announced closer to the date of on-sale.
