German tuner increases power on Focus RS to 360 PS (265 kW / 355 bhp), and adds KW coilover suspension for what MR Car Design claims to be an Audi RS3 or BMW 1-Series M competitor.
German tuner MR Car Design transformed the Ford Focus RS into an Audi RS3 or 1-Series M competitor.
The Focus RS’ power output is increased by the Erfstadt-based tuner from 305 PS (225 kW / 301 bhp to 360 PS (265 kW / 355 bhp), an ECU remap and in-house exhaust. A 200-cell catalytic convertor, and a K&N sport air filter are some of the other features.
The Focus RS also loses weight. All that tuning is good for a significant reduction in the 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 5.9 seconds. MR Car Design claims their version is superior to the original, but they don’t give any details.
To better manage the lateral forces of the road, the Focus RS comes with a Variant 1 KW coilover shock absorber suspension.
