Edition Has More BiteHowever, it won’t come cheap.
The Steve McQueen movie with the same title inspired the new Ford Mustang Bullitt. The classic dark green exterior is complemented by a cue ball shifter and Bullitt badges throughout. One shop believes the Bullitt Mustang doesn’t have enough Steve McQueen.
Steeda offers the Bullitt Mustang in a new Steve McQueen Edition. Steeda’s Bullitt has been upgraded with performance add-ons thanks to the input of Chad McQueen (Steve McQueen’s youngest son) and McQueen Racing.
Performance highlights include a Tuned Strut and Shocks, Camber Plates, a Short-Throw Shifter, and a Steeda cold intake with a performance tune. The Steve McQueen Edition Bullitt produces 500 horsepower (372 Kilowatts), which is a slight upgrade to the factory Bullitt (480 HP).
Buyers who want more power can opt for a supercharger upgrade to 775 horsepower (577 kW). As optional extras, you can also choose a rear seat deletion, a four point roll cage, carbon fiber performance driveshaft assemblies, and a leather-wrapped steering column. Although pricing is not available for these optional extras, Steeda does not list them.
Steeda’s Steve McQueen Mustang looks great. The car now has an aerodynamic upgrade package, rear quarter window louvers and special badges on the rear. Every car comes with a letter confirming authenticity and key fobs with special Steve McQueen engravings.
Steeda’s Bullitt Mustang custom will be limited to 300 units per year. Orders can only be taken at Steeda Ford certified dealers. The package price will be $20,995 plus the Ford Mustang Bullitt’s $46,595 before options. If you are looking for a Bullitt that has more bite, be prepared to spend some serious money.
