Mercedes AMG scored a one-two in the Silverstone qualifying session of the 2013 British Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton, a local favorite driver, was fastest during Q3 with a time 1m 29.607s. Teammate Nico Rosberg, who was 0.452s slower, will accompany him on the grid. Red Bull will start in third and fourth with Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg. They weren’t fast enough for Mercedes AMG to beat them during qualification.

Paul di Resta, a British driver, was fifth in the qualifying session. He was ahead of Daniel Ricciardo from Toro Rosso. The fastest time he did during Friday’s first practice session was 5. Adrian Sutil took seventh place on tomorrow’s grid. He was ahead of Lotus with Romain Grsjean in eighth and Kimi Raikkonen in third.

Ferrari had a slow day as Fernando Alonso was the only one to qualify for Q3, but he was also the slowest of the ten drivers, so he will start from the 10 th position. Jenson Button has not seen any improvement in his pace since the previous qualifying sessions. He only managed 11 th spots, just ahead Felipe Massa.
