The internet has made it possible to reveal a new Lamborghini Gallardo special Edition a little earlier than expected.
The LP 570-4 Spyder Performante supercar is a Superleggera drop-top. The new front fascia features aggressive side skirts and a fully-covered underneathbody. It also has 19-inch lightweight wheels with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.
The Performante’s interior features Alcantara sport seats with carbon fiber trim. Although it may not sound like much, Lamborghini chose to preserve “luxury” items such air conditioning and power windows. This is something that is normally sacrificed in order to save weight.
The Spyder has been fed a strict diet consisting of aluminum and carbon fiber. The car weighs in at 1,485 kg (3,274 lbs), which is 65 kilograms (143 pounds) less than the standard .
The 5.2-liter V10 engine produces 419kW (456 PS / 562 HP) and 540 Nm (398lb-ft). The roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. A six-speed manual transmission is available as an option. It tops out at 324 km/h (201 MPH).
