Do you think it is wrong to do so much work on an old Porsche? Is it a good idea to modernize the Porsche?
This is something completely unexpected. Because of its turbocharged engine and slantnose front, the Porsche 935 is one the most iconic race cars of all time. Bisimoto builds a new machine from one of these important machines. He removes the combustion engine and installs an electric motor with 637 horsepower (475 megawatts). Although it may sound sacrilegious at first, this vehicle is street legal and produces 637 horsepower (475 kilowatts).
This 935 is unique because it has a Kremer Racing K3 body from the late 1970s. This look was also used by another 935 to win the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Bisimoto gives this race-winning look a bright, vibrant pink paint scheme. This bright color is broken up by white stripes. Brixton Forged offers a set turbofan-style wheels that match the body in matching colors.
You’d expect to find a twin-turbocharged flat six engine at the back. But there’s now an even smaller electric motor. The system is powered by LG Chem batteries.
Bisimoto puts a lot of effort into making this powertrain overhaul easy for drivers. It is easy to switch between drive or reverse by holding down the brake, and then moving the gearshift forward/backward. A multi-page AEM instrument display shows all you need to know about your powertrain system.
This video gives you a glimpse of what it’s like to drive this strange Porsche. Bisimoto takes the car around the block and you can hear the engine noise when driving a vintage Porsche. The car is quick and easy to drive, except for that oddity.
