Singer can customize the output to meet your needs.
Singer has entered a new era with its first turbocharged Porsche 911 redesign. Turbo Study is based on a 964-generation 911 and draws its styling inspiration from the 930 Turbo. More than 70 people have already made reservations for a restored example, based on the study.
Turbo Study features a twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter flat-6 engine with at least 450 horsepower (330 megawatts). Singer will customize the power output according to the owner’s requirements, just like the rest the car. It’ll be available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations with a six speed manual transmission.
Singer stresses that each car it makes is custom-made to the owner’s needs and wants. Prices are not an exact science. Singer’s Wolf Blue example is only one example of what’s possible. The owner chose an RWD layout, a touring-focused suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. The interior was finished in Malibu Sand and Black Forest wood accents. Air conditioning and heated seats can be adjusted electronically.
Turbo Study is a recreation of the 930. It retells the whale tale, and uses the shark fin on its rear fender to act as an intake. This cold air feeds the engine bay. Other modern upgrades include ABS, traction control and cruise control.
Singer will bring the Turbo Study to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in June. It will then be displayed at Monterey Car Week, August. Singer has expanded its offerings in the past with the Turbo Study. This follows the Classic Study and Dynamics and Lightweighting Study. Singer can now offer turbocharging to its customers in a touring vehicle package with a few creature comforts. We do wonder, however, what the future holds.
