Firefighters Honored by New Ram 1500

This is the first part of the second phase.

Ram offers Built-to-Serve editions for its 1500 truck from the 2019 model year. Now, the manufacturer is ready and waiting to launch the second phase. The 2022 model year’s first installment is a tribute to firefighters. The truck with a visually enhanced design will go into production at the Sterling Heights (Michigan), Assembly Plant, and will be available in the brand’s showrooms by the end of the year.

Ram, the second phase in the Built to Serve edition models will be dedicated to the firefighters, police officers and emergency medical service providers of the United States. Each of the three major first responder services will have a truck with a different exterior design and special low-volume colors.

Inspired by the efforts of firefighters, the first truck to arrive is finished in Redline or Diamond Black exterior colors. Ram installed a blackened grille, surround and bumpers on the truck to enhance its appearance. They also added 20-inch aluminum wheels with a unique design and a Technical Gray finish. The rear quarter panels are covered with Built To Serve decals, as well as the United States flags.

The cabin has a black interior and contrast orange stitching that reflects the truck’s emergency service. Built To Serve decals can be embroidered on the front seats as well as additional Velcro panels at each seat’s inboard shoulder panel. Customers can also personalize their 1500 Built To Serve by adding names, slogans, and flags.

These aren’t the only changes. You can see the Built to Serve logo on the instrument cluster. Additionally, the cabin has additional chrome trim. The truck comes standard with all-weather rubber mats and all terrain tires. You can upgrade your mechanical options with the 4×4 Off-Road Group Package, which includes an electronic-locking rear axle and hill-descent control. It also adds a fuel tank skid plate.
