Subaru Tecnica International (STI) is introducing in Japan a higher specification BRZ tS.

The latest special edition does not bring an increase in power, but it still packs the same 200 PS and 205 Nm from the 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated engine. The BRZ tS is billed as an “STI complete vehicle”. It features an STI-tuned front suspension and revised rear damper, along with STI designed V-shaped bars, flexible front draw stiffener, and a large drive shaft.

The vehicle also features a tuned Vehicle Dynamics Control, which is a filter for Sound Creator. Brembo brakes with ventilated disks are also included. The BRZ tS is a black 18-inch alloy car that rides on 225/40 ZR18 Michelin pilot Super Sport tires. It also benefits from cosmetic tweaks such as a front spoiler, front fender garnish, and a black finish for side mirror caps.

STI created a bespoke speedometer and side sill plates for the cabin. The push button ignition was also installed. This model also features a leather-wrapped steering column. Recaro front bucket seat cushions, special door trims, and a carbon finish to the instrument panel are some other modifications.

There will only be 300 units and customers can choose from the following body colors: Crystal White Pearl (WR Blue Pearl), Crystal Black Silica, Sunrise Yellow and Crystal Black Silica. Subaru is taking orders. Prospect customers need to make a deposit by October 31 for the manual model, which will cost 3,990,000yen (32,600), while the automatic model costs 4,071,000yen ($332,256).
