Confirmed: 2023 Ford Ranger Raptor Is Coming To North America

It will be available in Canada and the United States next year.

The Ford Ranger Raptor has been completely redesigned for 2023. It’s now officially announced. It’s not your typical pickup truck, as you would expect from something sporting Blue Oval and Raptor badges. Ford released official photos of the truck literally leaping through the desert. Americans will now be able to enjoy all the Ranger Raptor fun and games.

Official word from the top about the Ranger Raptor’s North American debut is here. Ford CEO Jim Farley thanked the new truck and stated that it would be available worldwide, including Canada.

Curiously, the Ranger Raptor press release didn’t mention this. Farley stated that the truck wouldn’t be available in North America until 2023. It is not clear if it will be a 2023 model or 2024 model at this point. Nor do we know if there will be any major changes to the truck for Canadian and US buyers. The global Ranger Raptor comes with a variety of power options, including a gasoline or diesel engine.

The Ranger’s 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbocharged engine is brand new. It produces 288 horsepower (215 Kilowatts) as well as 362 pound-feet (491 Nm) of torque for European buyers. is available in countries like Australia and South Africa, where Euro 7 emission regulations don’t apply. It produces 392 horsepower (292kW) and 430lb-ft (583Nm) of torque. Ford claims the 2.0-liter diesel engine from the Ranger Raptor will continue, but more details about power will come at a later time.

In an effort to get more information about North American models, we contacted Ford. However, a spokesperson for Motor1.com stated that the details of both the new Rangerand Ranger Raptor will not be available until 2023. The twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine makes 400 horsepower (298 kW) in the Ford Explorer ST. It’s possible that the Ranger Raptor for the US will have similar power. It is likely to be North America’s only engine choice.
