2020 Kia XCeed teased with fully digital instrument cluster

2020 Kia XCeed teased with fully digital instrument clusterThe 12.3-inch screen will replace the 3.8-inch monochrome and 4.2-inch colors displays.

The upcoming XCeed will feature Kia’s digital instrument cluster. The Ceed-based compact hybrid will be unveiled ahead of its world premiere on June 26th. It features a 12.3-inch driver’s display, similar to the Telluride large SUV and the K900 flagship sedan. It also boasts crisp graphics due to its 1920×720 resolution.

The Supervision replaces both the speedometer and tachometer analog dials. It also replaces the tiny center screen in the Ceed models. It looks worth an upgrade to the traditional setup, where the old-school dials were combined with either a monochrome display of 3.8 inches or a larger 4.2-inch colour LCD.

You can control the center of the digital display by using the buttons on the steering wheel. From there, the driver can select Supervision to display turnby-turn navigation instructions and telephone-related information. You can also see details like average fuel consumption and vehicle diagnostics alerts. There are also pop-up notifications about the XCeed’s safety or assistance systems. You can also choose to view live traffic information.

This feature is great for those who enjoy gimmicks. The all-digital screen shows a brief graphic of the vehicle moving when the driver turns off the engine. It also displays a summary of the driving experience, including distance, time, fuel economy and the remaining range before you get to the gas station. The graphics can also change depending on which drive mode is selected: Normal or Sport.

Kia has released a new image today. It also gives you the opportunity to see the back of the XCeed. As you can see, it will remain true to the original Ceed’s design. The new derivative will not be a full-fledged crossover, but a modified hatchback. The model’s status can also be deduced by the absence of all-wheel drive. Even the highest-end versions will send the engine’s power directly to the front axle.

The XCeed will not make it to the United States, where Kia will sell its new Seltos compact crossover.
