Customers have until March 7, 2007 to convert their reservation into an order.
Ford continues to add Bronco variations, as demand keeps the company busy. The company is so busy, it will close its order books for 2022 Broncos on March 7, as it works to deliver the offroad SUV to eager customers. Ford posted the announcement on Bronco6G.com, and then it was posted to Ford’s website. It lists several changes to Ford’s order process for the 2022 Bronco that could impact the delivery process.
Ford requests that customers make a reservation before March 7, so they can place an order. However, Ford does not guarantee customers will get a model in 2022. Ford will open its order banks to customers again in the latter part of this year, so customers can still wait for a 2023 version. After the March 7 deadline, Ford will accept Bronco Raptor order.
Ford will also change the Bronco’s production in order to produce more models. All 2022 Broncos have been stripped of paint protection, except the Bronco Wildtrack. According to the Blue Oval, this will increase the likelihood of more Broncos being built in this year. Customers who still desire the protection will need to opt for the dealer-installed coating.
Ford suggests customers also remove the Trailer Tow package. This option is requested by 60 percent of all orders. Ford cannot meet this demand so customers who wish to remove the Trailer Tow package can opt for a dealer-installed alternative. Ford still has problems with mold-in-color hardtops. Customers might have a better chance of getting their SUV made for 2022 if they choose a soft top.
Ford has had a difficult time meeting the demand for its off-road SUV. Ford has had to deal with numerous production delays due to internal and external problems. This has made it more difficult to deliver the vehicle to customers. Due to the continuing shortage of semiconductors in the industry, Ford had to suspend Bronco production earlier this month. The problem is only getting worse as Broncos pile up in waiting for parts.
