We are sorry that you forgot about the Lexus CT. It isn’t very memorable, but this hybrid hatchback will be ending production in Japan in October 2022. Lexus will be releasing a special edition called the Cherished Touring to mark its retirement.

Two exclusive color options are available for the Lexus CT200h Cherished touring edition: You can choose from a Sonic Titanium and Graphite Black bodies or a Sonic Titanium and Sonic Quartz white bodies. The shiny silver finish of the rear bumper trim, spindle grille and fog light surrounds is regardless of the shade.

Other amenities include heated, electrically retractable door mirrors and rain-sensing windshield washers.

The Cherished Touring edition’s interior features two-tone upholstery. This means that the lower part of the seats and doors panels are black, and the upper sections are dark red. The door trim, instrument panel and knee pads are all adorned with matching red stitching. Standard equipment includes heating for the seats and steering wheel.

The CT200h’s power comes from the 1.8-liter four cylinder. It produces 98 horsepower (73 Kilowatts) as well as 105 pound-feet of torque (142 Newton-meters). The electric motor produces 80.5 horsepower (60 kW) as well as 153 lbft (207 Nm). Lexus’ Japanese website for CT200h does not list the total system output. However, the specs indicate that it is the same 134 horsepower (100 kW), as other markets.

The CT200h Cherished Traveling edition sells for 4,223,000 Japanese yen (after taxes in Japan) at current exchange rates.

At the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, the Lexus CT200h was unveiled. Later that year, the North American version of the Lexus CT200h was introduced at the New York Auto Show. It went on sale in the United States for the 2011 model year. Prices were $29 120 (plus $875 delivery fee) at launch.

Lexus updated the CT200h with its spindle grille for the 2014 model. The brand discontinued the US model of the vehicle.

The CT200h was still available in Japan and Europe. was even updated for the 2018 model. Lexus subsequently retired the vehicle from its European lineup in 2020.

It’s now time to let go of the CT200h. Lexus claims that it has sold 380,000 worldwide hybrid hatchbacks since its launch.
