Nobody was seriously injured.

It’s not something that anyone enjoys, especially when there is slow-moving traffic. Although it’s frustrating and annoying, it’s not always safe to pass multiple cars against traffic. This is what one Chevy C8 driver discovered recently in California. However, the driver tried to pass multiple vehicles simultaneously. The lead Toyota driver had other plans.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Facebook post, the Corvette driver tried to pass three slower-moving cars while the Toyota Pickup leading the charge was slowing down to make a left-hand turn in a parking lot. The Corvette driver did not notice the Toyota driver who was turning in front of it, and they collided. According to police, the Corvette was travelling at a “high rate of speed” and collided with the Toyota driver. The pickup was flipped onto its roof.

Three people were injured in the Toyota. All three of them were taken to the hospital. The Corvette driver sustained minor injuries which were treated on the spot. The Corvette driver was then issued a citation by police for unsafe driving.

After the wreck, neither vehicle looks very well. The front clip of the Corvette is completely destroyed. The wheel has been pushed towards the passenger compartment and broken. Although the Toyota Pickup appears to be in a better condition, it seems like the truck’s frame was bent by the accident. Although the bumper and tailgate look very worn, it could not have been damaged by this accident.

This crash serves as a reminder to keep your head up when driving, because you never know where another car might be. Speeding on public roads is a bad idea, even if it’s slowing you down. This is not an excuse. Police concluded their Facebook post by reminding people that they should drive with caution and care. Safety is the key to getting you there safely. It’s not necessary to rush.” Corvette and Toyota may have been saved by a little patience.
