In just over four months, he added the third Genesis to his garage.

Luxury vehicles and golf are a match made in Heaven. Recent evidence of that was Tae-Hoon Kim, a rookie golfer on the PGA Tour, who scored a round of 71 in the Pacific Palisades Invitational.

Kim was able to score a hole in one on the 16th hole of The Riviera Country Club. Kim also won an all-new golf package 2021 Genesis G80. The time-stamped highlights reel embedded at the top of this page allows you to see the smooth hole in one.

This is also the third Genesis vehicle Kim has added to his garage in less than four months. He won the 2020 Genesis Championship last October in Incheon, Korea, and was awarded a Genesis GV80 as well as an invitation to the PGA Tour.

Kim won the Korean Tour’s fourth win in October. He was awarded the Order of Merit 2020 and a Genesis. After his hole-in one in California, Kim spoke via a translator to PGA Tour that he had given the two Genesis SUVs back to his parents but isn’t sure what to do with his executive sedan.

Kim is attending his first PGA Tour. You can call it either beginner’s luck, or just plain skill. His sweet par-3 hole in one measuring 168 yards earned him respect from other golfers. The G80 sedan was just an added bonus.

“We are proud of Tae Hoon and are happy that an emerging talent sharing Korean roots is already enjoying success here in early rounds of the Genesis Invitational,” stated Mark Del Rosso President & CEO Genesis Motor North America.
