This roadster is ready to chase down the Joker through Gotham City

The body kits of the Japanese tuner DAMD (which stands for Dream Automotive Development and Design) aren’t very tasteful but even a broken clock can be right twice a days. The Dark Knight kit that the firm designed for the latest Mazda MX-5 Miata was aggressive, but not too cartoonish. The kit is quite attractive. However, the company may want to change its name to avoid being criticized by DC and Warner Bros lawyers.

The front spoiler is the highlight of the body kit. It has three silver fins at the center and sharp wings around the edges. This reminds us of Batarangs. These accents are dark red by DAMD for its show car. Customers can choose to have the parts in either gloss piano black or matte black. Side sills, rear diffusers and trunk lip spoilers are the rest of the components. Their design continues the sharp-edged theme. DAMD offers leather and suede seats covers in black with red stitching.

According to DAMD’s website, the Dark Knight Kit is available in carbon or fiberglass. You can either order the parts as a complete package or separately. The tuner completes the Gotham-ready look by adding Spirit Racing shocks and aftermarket wheels to the car.

Bruce Wayne would likely have a Miata as his most affordable car. An Miata with DAMD’s bodykit could replace the Batmobile’s ride if it isn’t available.
