Hennessey-Tuned Lamborghini Urus Drag Races Rolls-Royce Wraith

This is not surprising.

We have seen Hennessey Performance dyno-test its latest tuned creation, the Lamborghini Urus. The Urus produces 641 horsepower (478 Kilowatts) as well as 627 pound-feet (685 Newton-meters) in torque.

The Urus’ Audi-derived twin-turbo V8 is 546 horsepower (407 kW) with 606 lbft (822 Nm). The super SUV was upgraded by the Texas tuner HPE750, which raised the power output to 620 horsepower (462 kW) with 730 lbft (990 Nm), and increased torque to all four wheels. These are 74 horsepower and 124 lbft of update .

Hennessey-Tuned Lamborghini Urus Drag Races Rolls-Royce Wraith

Hennessey compares the HPE750 to a standard vehicle – a Rolls Royce Wraith. We know it sounds odd to compare a tuned SUV with a stock luxury vehicle drag racing, but keep in mind that the Wraith is on the same ground as the Urus on paper.

The Wraith’s twin-turbo V12 engine produces 623 horsepower (465 kW) as well as 642 lb/ft (870 Nm), at most in its Black Badge version. In stock form, the Urus is already a competitive machine. But wait until you see the HPE750 upgrade make it race the luxury coupe.

The result of the drag race was not surprising, as power advantage and an all-wheel drivetrain indicated that the Italian SUV won the race. How big was the gap between them? The video can be viewed at the top of this page.

Hennessey has the HPE750 upgrade available for the Urus for $24,950 plus shipping charges. The upgrade can also be applied to an Audi RSQ8. Hennessey will build your SUV in four weeks.
