The Lotus Elise Club Racer Edition has lost weight and now comes with custom-made finish options.
Lotus has done some weight-reduction work to the Elise model in order to create this Elise Club Racer Edition.
By using a lightweight battery, and the removal noise insulation material, the 876kg (1.930 lb.) Elise can be reduced by 24 kg to make it easier for Club Racer.
Lotus has fitted the Elise with a new Sport setting of DPM (Dynamic Performance Management), which works in conjunction with the new suspension and adjustable antiroll bar to improve its performance on the track and road.
The Elise Club Racer’s 1.6-liter four-cylinder VVT-I engine produces 136 PS (100kW/134hp) and is identical to the series’ version. Although Lotus didn’t provide any new performance numbers, the Club Racer does the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 miles/h) in 6.5 seconds. The Club Racer is unable to beat the standard Elise, though.
The fuel economy rating will be even more impressive. The standard Lotus Elise has the lowest CO2 emissions at just 149g/km, and a consumption of just over 5 liters/100km on the extra-urban cycle.
Eibach springs are required for a sport suspension. Bilstein dampers are also recommended.
The Lotus Elise Club Racer is available in six colors: Sky Blue, Saffron Yellow and Ardent Red, Aspen White as well as Carbon Gray. Additional bespoke design features will give the car an individual look.
The Lotus Elise Club Racer’s prices start at PS27.500/EUR34.450/CHF48.900 (Switzerland).
