Euro Chevy Corvette Corvette C8 is less powerful and hits 62 MPH in 3.7 seconds

It’s still impressive for the base model.

The Chevrolet Corvette C8 can accelerate to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in a mere 2.9 seconds when equipped with Z51 Performance Package. The American Corvette C8 supercar has slightly less power than the European version. It is therefore slightly slower in sprint.

The Motorsport Magazine channel of YouTube evaluated the C8 Stingray to get a better idea of its performance. The video is attached at the top and contains all the important acceleration figures that you will need to find a new ‘Vette for the Old continent. These are the numbers.

Standing-start runs from 0 to 60 mph (0-100 km/h) take 3.7 seconds. This could be considered a good acceleration, but slower than the US-spec model. Chevrolet of Germany describes this sprint as a 3.5 second exercise. The new Corvette also has 475 horsepower (349 Kilowatts) in Europe and 452 poundfeet (613 Newton meters) in the United States. In contrast, 490 HP (360 kW), and 470 Lb-ft (637Nm) in the United States.

Last but not least, the new Corvette Z06, which is more powerful, proved to be a very capable machine. Leaked photos of a Chevy product display board showed a quarter-mile time in 10.6 seconds. This is quite impressive.
