American photographer, David A. Smith captured the unique Ferrari F12 Berlinetta-based SP America once more.
Photographed once more in the United States is the unique Ferrari F12 Berlinetta-based SP America
It was built through Ferrari’s Special Projects division. The CEO of Wegmans Danny Wegman commissioned it. He reportedly paid around $4 million. The SP America is based on the F12 Berlinetta and features a substantially different body. It pays tribute to the 250 GTO’s iconic 250 GTO with its triple hood scoop, side vents, and other styling details.
The SP America has the same V12 6.3-liter engine that produces 740 HP (544kW) and 690 Nm (509lb-ft). The F1-derived dual clutch transmission delivers power to the rear wheels. This allows for a sprint of 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h), in just 3.1 seconds, and a top speed of 211 mph (354 km/h).
The F12 Berlinetta was Ferrari’s fastest car when it first appeared in 2012. However, this role has been taken over by the LaFerrari.
