2019 Acura ILX Starting at $25,900 with Lots of Other Standard Tech

The new infotainment system is faster and comes with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto integration.

On October 10, the refreshed 2019 Acura IlX will be available at dealers with prices starting from $25,900. This represents a significant discount from last year’s base price, $28,100. The sedan’s features are not being removed by the company. The previously optional AcuraWatch driver assist suite includes collision mitigation brake, forward collision warning and adaptive cruise control. It also includes road departure mitigation and lane departure alert.

The 2019 ILX features a more angular front with a pentagonal grille and sharper edges. The previous units had five LEDs per side. New seven-element LED headlights replace them. To give the rear end a more pointed look, designers have also modified it. Five new colors are available: Platinum White Pearl, Majestic Black Pearl, Performance Red Pearl, Canyon Bronze Metallic, and the A-Spec-package-exclusive Apex Blue Pearl.

The new dual-screen infotainment system has improved software and is 30% faster in the cabin. You can also get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration with the Premium Package. The standard driver’s seat comes with power-adjustable Lumbar Support. 2019’s interior upholstery will be available in espresso brown. A-Spec trim is available in a combination of Ebony, Red with Ultrasuede inserts and graphite silver trim on the dashboard. The Premium Package adds $1750 to the ILX price. The tech suite includes blind spot monitoring as well as rear cross traffic monitors. A new stereo system with seven speakers, and a subwoofer is added to the cabin. This trim also includes interior upgrades such as sport seats with perforated leather, four-way power adjustment, and sport seats with perforated Leather.

The Technology Package costs $3,650. The Technology Package includes all of the Premium features, as well as navigation with real-time traffic and AcuraLink connected services. It also includes an upgraded stereo with 10 speakers. A-Spec Packages give the ILX a more sporty look. Buyers can also combine it with Premium or Technology packs. It has dark chrome trim on the grille, lower fascia and fog lights. Matching dark accents are placed around the taillights and headlights. The rear is adorned with a gloss black trunk lid spoiler. A set of 18-inch wheels in Shark Gray are also included.

The powertrain of the 2019 ILX is identical to that of previous years. The 2.4-liter four cylinder produces 201 horsepower, and 180 pound-feet torque. An eight-speed dual clutch transmission is the only available gearbox. It turns the front wheels. The 2019 ILX has a lower fuel economy. The new model has a fuel economy rating of 24 mpg city, 34 mpg on the highway and 28 mpg together. The 2018 model had an EPA rating 25 mpg, 35 mpg, and 29 mpg respectively.
