2022 Easter Jeep Safari Teaser Train Starts With Gladiator and Cherokee

The annual event will feature several concepts in April.

Friends, February is almost over. It’s almost spring, which means that the annual Easter Jeep Safari for Jeep off-roading enthusiasts is just around the corner. The 56th annual event will take place in Moab. Jeep, of course, will be there with some unique concept vehicles.

Although we are still more than a month away, Jeep has given us a glimpse of what to expect in its first teaser. The 2022 Easter Jeep Safari press release mentions the “bigger and better, greener and faster ultra-capable and undisputed” concept vehicles from both Jeep Performance Parts and Jeep itself. The teaser campaign does not feature Jeep’s premier freedom machine, the Jeep Wrangler. Instead, we see a Grand Cherokee Face and a Gladiator Silhouette made of QR code fragments.

Let’s take a look at the Gladiator for a second. Yes, we did scan the image using a code reader, but it came up empty. So if there is a hidden message, it is well hidden. The Jeep Performance Parts logo suggests that this Gladiator will be made by the parts group and fitted with many off-road accessories. Although the profile indicates that there are a lot of tires in the mix, and a brush guard at the front, it’s clear that there is still much to learn.

Another teaser photo shows the Grand Cherokee’s front. It is safe to assume that this is a 4xe plug-in hybrid. This is a result of the extensive use of blue in the sketch and the accompanying press release, which includes a long description of a 4xe-electrified Jeep SUV that will conquer any terrain along the backcountry trails around Moab. It also highlights the Jeep brand’s goal of Zero Emission Freedom. Lengthy, indeed.

In recent years, we’ve seen seven Jeep concepts at the event. So expect more teasers to show other vehicles in the coming days.
