Los Angeles police offer a $1,000 reward to anyone who helps capture the criminal who fled the scene.
It doesn’t take much to tell you that performing any stunt on a public roadway is simply ridiculous. You still run the risk of being hit by traffic even if you do it when there isn’t any. Jumping off the car without looking where you are supposed to land is dangerous. This was the case for the 2018 Tesla Model S driver who, on Sunday morning in Los Angeles, had the brilliant idea to go airborne.
At 12:10 am, the dangerous stunt occurred at the intersection Alvarado and Baxter streets in California. Many people witnessed the incredible jump and took to twitter to share it. The black sedan, an electric car, was badly damaged to everyone’s surprise. The aftermath footage shows that all airbags were activated at the time of impact.
To make matters worse, the Model S driver didn’t own the car. It was actually a rental. The police are now trying to locate him. LA law enforcement is offering $1,000 to anyone who can identify the perpetrator through the Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund. This will ultimately lead to his arrest.
Detectives will contact the rental company to get more information. The driver was already charged with hit-and-run. He was lucky to get out of the car safely and sound, despite his violent landing. He also crashed into several cars parked nearby.
The police shouldn’t have to wait too long to find the amateur stuntman, as they’ve already received over 50 tips about the driver. Los Angeles Police Department Central Traffic Tweet
“More than 90% of tips are from the same person with a TikTok account of @dominykas on Twitter or @durtedom. Based on public postings to his account, he is considered a person or interest.”
LA Police reached out to him already and asked community members to stop sending tip about his Model S.
