The inside is the same, and the Civic’s new cabin looks great. The Civic has a 9.0-inch screen and a 10.2-inch digital cluster. It also features a Bose 12-speaker stereo system. Honda’s Sensing suite, which offers advanced safety features such as lane-keep assistance, blind spot monitoring, and many more, is also included in the Civic.

The Civic hybrid combines a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle engine with two small electric motors. The total output of the two motors is 181 horsepower (135 Kilowatts) and 315 Newton-meters (315 Newton-meters), respectively. The new 72-cell lithium ion battery pack is also included in the Civic. Honda claims that the engine improvements helped the car achieve the highest thermal efficiency for a production vehicle.

A new power control unit is located under the hood, as well as the most recent version of the Intelligent Power Unit. Honda claims it is lighter and smaller, but has a higher energy density. There are four modes of driving the Civic e.HEV: Eco, Normal Sport, Individual, and Sport. This fall, the new Honda Civic e-HEV hybrid will be available in Europe. Pricing information will be available closer to the launch of the Old Continent. Honda does not intend to sell the hybrid powertrain in this country.
