It is almost as fast as the R8 Spyder V10 Plus.
ABT was founded by Johann Abt, a Kempten blacksmith. It has been in operation since 1896. Today, it focuses on the Volkswagen Group’s wide range of cars, from the Skoda Citigo supercar to the Audi R8. ABT Sportsline has decided to bring the TT RS closer than its older brother for its latest project.
The TT RS -R is a hardcore limited edition of 50 coupes and 50 roadsters. The TT RS-R is a highly upgraded version of the five-cylinder turbocharged 2.5-liter engine that produces 500 horsepower (368 kW) total. The torque has also increased significantly, from 90 Newton-meters (66-pound-feet), to a huge 570 Nm (442 lb-ft).
ABT does not mention the performance of the roadster, but it claims that it is faster in sprinting to 62 mph (100 km/h) by half a sec. It can accomplish the task in 3.4 seconds. This is a fraction of a second less than the V10 Spyder Plus. We don’t know the top speed but the regular TT RS Roadster can reach speeds of 174 mph (280 kph).
ABT also offers a variety of accessories as part of the upgrade program. The most noticeable would be the aggressive body kit with a variety of carbon fiber bits and pieces. The TT RS-R is a striking vehicle with a number of carbon fiber features. These include the canards and front spoiler lip, as well as the more beefy side skirts and rear diffuser. The package includes 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels, a stainless steel exhaust system and quad pipes.
They will need to contact you about pricing. However, the tuner states that individual parts can be ordered and fitted onto an existing TT RS.
