You can build an Elantra sport on the configurator.
Although the 2019 Hyundai Elantra was released in late 2018, the automaker didn’t release photos of the Sport trim’s slightly altered appearance. The configurator gives you a better view of the more powerful and meaner-looking model. A sedan with all the options and the entire suite of accessories costs $28,815 after the $920 mandatory destination fee.
The Sport trim uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 201 horsepower (150kilowatts) as well as 195 pound-feet (226 Newton-meters), unlike the other Elantra sedan trims. The standard model comes with a six-speed manual transmission, while buyers can choose a seven speed dual-clutch transmission for $1,100. Both units drive the front wheels.
The Elantra Sport’s exterior is distinguished by the mesh grille insert, which replaces the traditional crossbars. The Elantra Sport rides on 18-inch multi-spoke, dark-colored wheels with machined faces. Standard features include LED headlights.
The tweaks give Elantra a more aggressive appearance than the Sport trim of the past generation. It’s a step backwards at least in our eyes. But beauty is in the eye.
The Elantra Sport comes in six exterior colors: black, white, two shades silver, red, and blue. All models come with black leather interior.
The only factory option, aside from paint color, is the Premium Package at $2,250. The Premium Package adds quite a lot of equipment including navigation, eight-speaker stereo and dual-zone automatic climate controls. It also includes an auto-dimming rearview reflector and three years Hyundai Blue Link Connected Car Service.
You can also add $1,945 more accessories. You can add accessories to the pieces, including a trunk net (50), mudguards (115), floor mats for $125 or all weather for $130), interior ambient lighting ($250) and illuminated doors sills ($250).
