Nissan Canada collaborated with Alex McLeod, a local artist, to illustrate the GT-R within a supernatural setting to highlight the vehicle’s boldness and various features. Although an NFT can be downloaded on your computer to view the images and videos, it is not easy to own the copyright.

This is where the auction steps in. Bidders can own the exclusive GT-R NFT. Nissan Canada has set a reserve price at 280,000 CAD, or about $204,000 at current exchange rate. While that seems like a lot of money for a non-fungible token but the digital interpretation of the car comes with an actual GT-R Nismo.

The live auction will take place on RubiX, the NFT marketplace. It starts on October 5, at 12:01 AM ET and ends on October 7, at 11:59 PM ET. Everything above the reserve will be donated to charity once it is met. It is worth noting that the actual car is a GTR Nismo special edition. This car costs 279,498CAD and is almost identical to the reserve price for the NFT.

The highest bidder will receive the digital rights for the NFT and be able to drive the GT-R Nismo Special Edition later in the fall. The NFT/car is open to anyone around the globe, but only the winner must be able to travel to Canada to pick up the keys.
