Except for the feelings of the owner, there were no injuries reported.
The first of April is a time for jokes and gags. However, UK’s Derby police unit isn’t kidding when it shares some recent news.
After leaving the dealership, a Ferrari 488 crashed. According to Derbyshire Roads Policing Unit’s Tweet account the supercar was purchased by the driver in the morning. The Ferrari crashed after just 2 miles (3 km).
No injuries were reported by the involved parties. The 488 has a badly damaged front end, as you can see from the social media post.
The Ferrari 488 can be seen isolated in the photos. We aren’t sure what happened. It appears that the upper portion of the car was damaged, as well as the hood and the areas around the headlights. It looks like the 488 was underneath some type of vehicle, such as an SUV or truck.
It’s good to know that nobody was hurt in this accident. The Ferrari 488 is priced between PS150,000 and PS300,000. This means that it costs approximately PS150,000 to PS300,000. ($196 724 to $393 4,450 depending on how much you drive). So this was not a cheap purchase. We hope that the owner’s auto insurance covers this, and that it was taken care of before the owner left the dealership.
It’s not the first time that a supercar has crashed after leaving a dealership. This rented Ferrari 458 in China is an example of this. This is a very common occurrence especially if the driver has never driven a supercar before.
Let this crash remind you that supercars are “super”. These cars produce power that is not for everyone. Therefore, anyone can drive them. It doesn’t matter if it’s a prancing horse, a raging bull, and any high-powered vehicle, some caution is a good idea.
