The windshield was custom-made and cost more than $3,000 to make.
We are able to see one of the most unique custom cars ever made thanks to Edd China’s YouTube video. Friendly Robotics, a robotic lawnmower company, commissioned this unique build to make a 3 to 1 replica of one their robotic lawnmowers. It was a striking custom-built vehicle that attracted attention from all who saw it and helped promote robotic lawnmowers.
Friendly Robotics wanted some interest in their robotic lawnmower offerings. They decided to take a leaf right out of the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile manual and reach out to Cummfy Banana’s team to create a drivable robotic mowermobile. Reddit R/WeirdWheels enthusiasts discovered this unique build after they stumbled upon Edd China’s YouTube video.
Edd China’s YouTube description states that this drivable robot lawnmower has three-abreast seating, similar to a McLaren F1 or Gordon Murray new T.50 hypercar, a Land Rover derived engine V8, and a 4-speed VW Type 2 transmission. A tubular chassis from a customer was used with fiberglass body panels. This gave the robotic lawnmower its look. Video description shows that the custom-made front windscreen cost $4,500 was damaged when a truck with gravel tipped over and poured its harmful load directly in front of the robotic lawnmower.
It was transformed into Edd China’s Chasie Lounge, which is also the Guinness Book of World Records’ fastest couch.
Friendly Robotics has been renamed Robomow. They still sell the most recent robotic lawnmowers to customers who want to automate their lawn mowing. Since 1998, when Robomow introduced the first consumer-grade robotic lawnmower, Robomow has been pushing the boundaries in robotic lawnmowing technology. Between 1998 and 2001, this innovative machine sold over 4,000 units. This innovative company pushes the boundaries of robotic lawnmowers, even without its large-scale promo car.
