A Carbide Edition is available for the standard Wagoneer with dark styling details.
To expand the model lineup, the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L as well as Grand Wagoneer L make their debut. Wagoneer Carbide Edition with many dark accents is also available.
The L variants have 7 inches (17.78 cmimeters more wheelbase) and 12 inches (30.48 cmimeters more total length) than the standard Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer.
Large and Luxurious
With the increased length, 15.8 cubic feet (0.4474 cube meters) more cargo space is available behind the third row of seats. This gives a total volume of 44.2 cubic feet (1.522 cubic meters). The third and second rows can be folded down to create 130.9 cubic feet (3.7067 cu m) of storage. There’s enough room for a 4-foot by-8-foot sheet plywood.
This table compares the cargo numbers of the Wagoneer L, Grand Wagoneer L, and Lincoln Navigator. The Wagoneer is the winner in terms of space, being behind the third row.

Buyers can enjoy up to 75 inches of screen real estate inside the L variants, including the infotainment, front passenger and rear displays, as well as the digital instrument cluster. A 10-inch head-up display as well as a digital rearview reflector are available if that isn’t enough tech.
There are both seven- and eight-passenger seating options. The second row can either be a bench, or a pair captain’s chairs depending on the customer’s requirements. Two storage compartments are provided for the third row, each holding 1.8 liters.
Optional on the Wagoneer L Series III is the McIntosh 19X950 stereo, and standard on the Grand Wagoneer L Series I & II is the McIntosh McIntosh. The McIntosh MX1375 stereo system, which is 23-speaker, is also available for Grand Wagoneer L Series II. It is standard on Grand Wagoneer L Obsidian trim levels.
Below the Hood
Both SUVs can be equipped with the twin turbo 3.0-liter inline-6 Hurricane engine. The Wagoneer L’s powerplant produces 420 horsepower (313 Kilowatts) as well as 468 pound feet (635 Newton-meters). Grand Wagoneer L’s powerplant produces 510 horsepower (380 kW) as well as 500 lb-ft (678Nm). The powerplant can be connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission, regardless of its output. Jeep claims that the combined fuel economy is 1 to 2 MPG better than the V8 options.
There are three four-wheel drive systems. Quadra-Trac I comes with a single-speed transmission case. Quadra-Trac II features a dual-speed transfer case that can route up to 100 percent of available torque to the wheel that has the best traction. Quadra-Drive II features an electronic limited-slip differential in the rear. It also has sensors that detect low traction conditions and adjust the torque split accordingly.
A coil-spring suspension is standard on the Wagoneer L. Quadra-Lift air suspension can be added to the Grand Wagoneer L, but it is optional. It has five height settings.
The Carbide Edition
Wagoneer Carbide edition features some fashionable upgrades. It features gloss black parts for the wheels and grille texture, roof rack, roof rack, and mirror caps. Black Onyx is the color of the grille rings. Jeep describes the “technical hydrographic finish” on the door panels and instrument panels. Global Black upholstery is used with stitching in Smoke. The headliner is also black. Standard equipment includes a panoramic tri-pane, sunroof.
This spring, the Wagoneer L will include Carbide. It will be accompanied by the Wagoneer L in the second half 2022.
