Great Wall’s truck is on display at Guangzhou Auto Show.
In China last year, approximately 452,000 trucks were sold. Great Wall was the top truck manufacturer in the People’s Republic. The pickups are a success story for the local auto giant. We were able to film some of them with our friends from WheelsboyChe. You can see a gallery of vehicles displayed in Guangzhou by the team below.
The Black Buller is the first truck in the gallery. It is a concept that is based on the Poer truck. This study was created in collaboration with a Chinese offroad aftermarket company. The modifications to the stock model include a snorkel and larger off-road tires, wheel arches with more cladding, a new winch, bumpers, and many other improvements. The truck is 51 millimeters (2 in) higher than the factory Poer.
The Great Wall also has the Baja Mad Man, an off-road concept that is hardcore, and an all-electric Poer, which could be a potential rival to the Ford F-150 Lightning. The Poer Pro is a smaller version Great Wall’s core truck and there are many modified versions of it. The video below features all these models.
Experts believe China’s truck market will grow to 840,000 units by 2025, if pickup trucks are allowed to operate in cities. China Association of Automobile Manufacturers predicts that there could be as many as 1.67 million sales annually by 2030.
