It’s just as good as the real thing, but one-eighth smaller.
The Suzuki Jimny is something you are familiar with and love. This little off-roader is so popular that you can’t buy a new one in North America. People looking for a square SUV will have to spend a lot more money for a Mercedes G Class. The Brabus-tuned model is a little different. Hey, Wait a minute!
The flashy, white Brabus-badged SUV may not be what it appears. It’s actually a Suzuki Jimny. If the two-door configuration wasn’t enough to sway you, Supercarblondie standing up and level with the roof should have been. This not-a-Jimny Jimny was driven by the YouTuber. She had the opportunity to compare it to a real G Class. This Jimny, however, isn’t a Brabus.
Although the origin of this convincing body kit is unknown, the video explains how Brabus does not modify Suzukis. Despite this, the faux Brabus conversion is amazing. This clip shows the transformation of the Jimny and almost every exterior detail is identical to the Brabus 800. Even though the Jimny’s 1.5-liter engine is stock, it sports misleadingly misleading biturboV8 and 800 badges. Although the Jimny’s horsepower isn’t close to 800, the fake Brabus group will likely install a turbo-up to increase the power to 200 hp.
Although we have seen many Jimny body kits mimicking the larger G-Class, we have never seen a Brabus clone so detailed. Although the interior is updated, the Jimny layout of the dash remains unchanged. It’s easy to mistake it for real if you see it from a distance.
It begs the question: Is this a cool, customized Jimny? Or is it a poseurmobile gone too far? Motor1.com readers, let us know what you think.
