Porsche Adds Dozens Of Colors To Configurator With Paint-To-Sample FeatureYou can choose from over 160 colors for your dream Porsche using the Paint-To-Sample feature on the online configurator.

We have some good news for those who are looking for a Porsche, or just want to spend time browsing their online configurator. Porsche has updated their online configurator to include all of their Paint-To-Sample offerings. Porsche has offered Paint-To-Sample to customers for many decades. However, this is the first time that you can access this feature on their online configurator.

For decades, Porsche has offered paint-to-sample and customization options. Porsche is so committed to satisfying customer needs that they sold a Porsche 356 with fur in the 1950s. Customers can now play with Porsche’s Paint-To-Sample option in its online configurator for the first time. This option is available for all Porsche models, except 911. It will be coming soon.

The Paint-To-Sample catalogue from Porsche contains 160 colors. These colors have been tested and approved by Porsche. There are filters that allow customers to distinguish between metallic and non-metallic colors. To narrow down the colors in a particular color palette, customers can also select a color group.

Porsche customers can now see every color in a live rendering of their dream car with the online configurator upgrade. This tool is extremely helpful and allows customers to visualize the color they want before purchasing this program. This is important as there is a chance that Paint-To-Sample with a model combination will not be done before. The render is the best way for the customer to visualize the final product. Porsche’s unique Paint-To-Sample can be displayed using shadows, highlights and even simulated locations.

What if the Paint-To-Sample catalog doesn’t have the right color you are looking for? Porsche offers Paint-To-Sample Plus for all models, except the Cayenne. A customer can bring a sample to their local Porsche dealer. Porsche AG receives the sample and analyzes it. Porsche will conduct feasibility testing for the custom-made paint color, and then only offer the product to the customer if it passes the testing. Porsche will pay for all costs associated with testing if the color fails. This is a complex process that can take nearly a year.
