The electric motor that powers this wooden Lamborghini allows the builder to take it for a spin with his son.
Most dads would return their child’s beloved toy if it was stolen. However, the father behind the ND – Woodworking Art YouTube channel had a different reaction. He builds his son a massive, driveable replica of his lost Lamborghini Vision Gran Turismo model vehicle over the course of 96 day.
He starts by welding together sections of steel to make a frame. He also installs an electric-powered rear axle and a suspension. Panels at the rear and front can be opened and closed by pressing a button.
The really exciting part begins next. To make the vehicle’s floor, the builder begins cutting pieces from dark-colored wood. To make the bodywork, he mixes lumber with red- and brown hues. To achieve the perfect exterior styling, the creator uses a planer.
The Lamborghini Vision Gran Turismo wooden looks even better when you add the details. He creates a template and then cuts the spokes.
It is fascinating to watch the steering wheel being put together. The builder begins with a large chunk of wood, then uses chisels and a saw to cut away the material until the steering wheel looks like the Lambo.
The final touch is to add light strips. They come in a variety of colors, including amber, blue, purple, amber and red. The front fenders also function as turn signals.
The last bit of the video shows the father and son riding in the wooden Lamborghini Vision Gran Turismo. The lights on the road make it look amazing, even though it’s not very fast.
As a concept for the game, the Lamborghini Vision Gran Turismo was introduced in November 2019. It had a striking appearance and lots of sharp edges. It resembled a Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk aircraft with its angular cockpit.
