For the 2023 model year, the Audi RS5 Coupe or Sportback will come with a new Competition Package. Audi will begin accepting orders for the pack next month. This makes the car more powerful, quieter, and quicker than the standard RS5.
The 2023 HTML5 will still use Audi’s twin turbocharged 2.9-liter V6 motor that produces 444 horsepower (331 Kilowatts) as well as 442 pound-feet (602 Newton-meters). The Competition pack raises the car’s top speed to 180 mph (289 km/h) from the standard 155 mph (250 km/h). This is 6 mph faster than the Dynamic Plus package.
The Competition adds a new “RS Sport Exhaust System” to the RS5, with matte-black tailpipes, and a “more intense sound.” Audi helps to pipe that sound into the interior. The engine compartment and cabin have been insulated by nearly 18 pounds. The company can also tune the car’s steering and rear differential.
The RS5’s eight speed gearbox shifts a little faster with the package. It also gets a new adjustable coilover suspension. The suspension reduces the RS5 Competition’s height by 0.4 inches (10 m). It can also go another 0.4 inches (10 mm), reducing its ride height by upto 0.8 inches (20 mm) compared with the regular RS5. Audi offers Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires and stiffer stabilizers.
Audi’s interior adds a touch of sportiness to the vehicle with pearl Napa front seats and Dinamica side trims, Alcantara with contrasting red stitching, red accents throughout and matte RS carbon inlays. Audi also adds high-gloss Black trim to the exterior, as well as several matte carbon-fiber pieces such the rear diffuser, front splitter and exterior mirror housings. Under the hood, the RS5 gets a carbon fiber engine cover.
Audi will offer the RS4 Avant the same upgrades in new Competition and Competition Plus packs. Both packs will be available on the RS5 in the USA.
