In the US, the GLC 300 4Matic and GLC 300 300 will be available.

The GLK was the original GLK, and the Mercedes-Benz GLC was introduced over a decade ago. It has been a top-selling model for the brand since then. A new generation of GLCs is expected to build on that success. The GLC 300 4Matic and GLC 300 300 4Matic will be the two versions of the 2023 GLC that will debut in the US. However, there are many more options.

Hybrid Power

Mercedes uses the M254 2.0-liter turbocharged quad-cylinder engine. This powertrain is powered by 48-volt mild hybrid technology and its second-generation integrated start-generator. The GLC 300 generates 258 horsepower (192 Kilowatts) as well as 295 pound-feet (405 Newton-meters). The ISG adds 23 hp (17.kW) and 148lb-ft (220 Nm) of torque.

GLC 300 4Matic comes with all-wheel drive. Both US-bound GLC 300 variants come with Mercedes’ nine speed transmission. Mercedes claims that both GLC 300 variants can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 6.2 seconds. Although the GLC has 4.5 degrees rear-wheel steering, it will not be available in the US version due to a low take rate.

Bigger Is Better

The GLC’s new model is slightly longer than its predecessor. The GLC’s overall length has increased by 2.4 inches to 185.7. Although the wheelbase is 0.6% longer, it is still 0.1 inches shorter. The width of the crossover is the same, but the front and rear tracks grow by 0.3 inches and 1.9 inches, respectively. A larger footprint means more cargo and cabin space, which is 1.8 cubic feet higher to 21.2

The new GLC is bigger, but it’s also more slippy, thanks to a Mercedes drop in drag coefficient (from 0.31 to 0.29). Mercedes optimized many components, including the underbody paneling and wheels, wheel spoilers, roof spoiler and others, to create the new crossover with comfort and quietness in mind.

New design for the GLC features front-end styling, which combines the slim headlights and the grille. A three-dimensional star pattern is added to the grille for the AMG Line. With a new greenhouse design, the GLC is more athletic than its predecessor. The rear features new taillights and a revised rear. Mercedes will offer the GLC with an optional running board and the optional Digital Light. Wheel sizes will be 18-20 inches.

The Most Recent Tech

The 2023 GLC interior gets a significant upgrade that takes inspiration from the new S-Class. Mercedes’ 12.3-inch driver display is paired with a 11.9-inch central screen, which features MBUX infotainment technology. The crossover’s dash and doors have been redesigned. It also features standard features like wireless charging and heated front seatbacks. Mercedes also revised its equipment packages in response to buyer behavior.

The new GLC is safe, thanks to Mercedes’ Driving Assistance Package. Mercedes’ Active Distance Assist Distronic has been upgraded, and can now respond at speeds up to 60 mph.

Mercedes has not yet revealed when the new GLC will launch. However, we will get more information about the trim lineup and pricing closer the date. Mercedes will add a plug-in hybrid version to the GLC’s lineup at a later time. The high-performance GLC versions of the high-performance will be available sometime next year.
