Both vehicles will be very well equipped.
We received spy photos of a stretched Cadillac XT5 prototype in September 2013. Although it was clear that the automaker was working on a limo version of its crossover , we didn’t know much at the time. A new report has shed more light on the XT5’s long-wheelbase.
CadillacSociety It seems that we are in the know. Cadillac is collaborating with aftermarket businesses to create limo- and hearse versions of both the XT5. Although the company stated to the publication only that the vehicles were being up-fitted with aftermarket companies, there aren’t many details we can share at this time,” insiders provided some preliminary details.
The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine will power both vehicles. It can send power to either the front wheels or to both. The vehicle will only be available with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The interior of the XT5 limo is well-equipped with many standard features. There are power and heated seats, dual-zone climate control and leather-wrapped steering wheels. The second row can slide and recline 60/40. A comprehensive range of safety features is available, including automatic emergency brake, lane keep assist, and front and rear parking sensors.
The hearse version will have the rear seats removed to allow for a new layout. Jet Black leatherette will be used for the interior and seats. The cabin equipment will look almost identical to that of the XT5 limo, but the overall layout will be modified.
Both versions will be available with 18-inch wheels, LED headlights, and a power liftgate. Both XT5s will come in eight exterior colors, and will serve as indirect successors to the discontinued Cadillac XTS Professional Vehicles.
