Two V12 engines with 2,000 horsepower are required for every yacht.
It’s not unusual for supercar and boat manufacturers to pair up. Aston Martin, Porsche and Lexus all have swum into the water, and Lamborghini will be joining them. The Italian Sea Group has teamed up with the Italian Automaker to create the Tecnomar luxury yacht Lamborghini 63. It’s as wild as any road-going model.
Two V12 engines from MAN are used to power the yacht. Each produces 2,000 horsepower (or 1,491 kilowatts). The boat can reach speeds of 60 knots (or 69 miles per hour) and is capable of propelling it at speeds up to 60 km/h. This yacht is Tecnomar’s fastest motor yacht. Carbon fiber was extensively used to keep the yacht, measuring 63 feet in length, at 24 tons. This boat falls within the ultra-lightweight boat category.
Tecnmoar collaborated directly with Lamborghini’s Centro Stile and took design inspiration from the Lamborghini SIAN FKP 37 hybrid model. The design was carried over by Tecnomar, but the electrified engine is still in the car. The unique Y-shaped light fixtures of the FKP 37, Terzo Millennio are reflected in the bow lights.
Lamborghini’s interior styling is angular with lots of clean lines, Y motifs, and hexagon shapes. Customers have the option to choose from a variety of interior colors and materials that can be customized. These should go well with the wide range of exterior colors and livery options.
Tecnomar also imitated Lamborghini’s instrument cluster display. This is paired with a steering column similar to the one found in Lamborghini’s cars. The start-stop buttons are one part that was taken straight from Lamborghini’s parts bin – one for each engine.
Lamborghini’s angular style is well suited to Tecnomar’s new boat. The angular bow is branded with a Lamborghini emblem. It is luxuriously designed with many Lamborghini design marks that will please fans of the supercar manufacturer. The Tecnomar Lamborghini 63 – which commemorates the company’s 1963 founding – will be made available in 2021.
