The unveiling of the Fiat 500e kicked things off at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Matt Davis, Fiat’s North American Head for Product Marketing, stated that “Ugliness” is one of the most harmful forms of pollution. Fiat 500e is a proof that electric cars don’t have to sacrifice their good looks.
Davis’ words were not lost on Simon Sproule (Nissan’s head for global marketing), later stated Automotive News that “Let’s face the truth, Fiat hasn’t shied away controversial styling themselves.” Many people would call many of their products visual pollution. Have a look at the Fiat Doblo.
Sproule also mentioned that the Leaf car is “fully functional”, while the 500e is too small for practical use. Sproule stated that he didn’t believe they had the hardware or credibility to back up such statements. It doesn’t matter if you are committed to it.
