Apocalypse Manufacturing unveils a haunting new face for Jeep 6×6

The light bar is 52 inches in length and produces 15,000 lumens.

Apocalypse Manufacturing doesn’t like to be hidden from the public. The Florida-based tuner creates wild-looking off-road six-wheelers and other modifications to improve the vehicle’s design. Its latest offering is the Oculus front grumper, which features a single large light bar at the front.

Apocalypse’s grille/bumper combo features a 52-inch long light bar. This is the grumper’s most distinctive feature. It sits above a seven slotted grille, which sits between two tow hooks that are low on the head. It is an intimidating-looking package, reminiscent of the helmet worn by Clone Troopers in Star Wars. According to the tuner, the LED light bar produces 15,000 lumens.

The company also announced it was changing its engine lineup for six-wheeled vehicles by adding the 6.4-liter V8 to the Dodge Charger, and Challenger R/T Scat Pack models. It produces 485 horsepower (362kilowatts) as well as 475 pound-feet (644 Nms) of torque. The new 6.4-liter V8 replaces a Chevrolet-sourced LS3 in the Corvette. It joins the 800-hp (596 kW), Hellcat V8 already available by the company.

Apocalypse’s three Jeep models are the HellFire and Sinister 6. The 6.4-liter V8 is compatible with them. Jay Leno had the opportunity to see the HellFire last year, a modified Jeep Gladiator pickup. The truck featured 40-inch tires and an eight-speed transmission from a Ram 3500 HD. It also had the discontinued LS3 engine. It weighed in at a hefty 6,000 pounds (2.71 kilograms).

Apocalypse introduced a new six-wheeled model, Dark Horse, earlier this year. It is a modified Ford Bronco. A new face was added, as well as a 4.0-inch (10.16 centimeter) suspension lift and a modified powertrain. Apocalypse raised the twin-turbo V6’s output by increasing its boost and installing larger injectors. The tweaks worked as intended thanks to revised software.

Apocalypse claims that there are over 180 six-wheeled vehicles currently on the roads. The expansion with a new engine and grumper and a new Bronco should lead to an increase in those numbers.
