The Hoonigan team turns the tables on the Audi R8 V10 just when you thought it couldn’t get any more exciting. The first-generation Audi R8 V10 was a unique vehicle, but the owner could not keep it stock. This supercar, which has a supercharger and custom tuning is now a fire-spinning dream machine that can do incredible numbers on the dyno.
The Hoonigans’ latest video series is very simple. They dyno-modify cars and then talk with proud owners about their modifications. Power predictions were used before dyno runs to determine the horsepower output of the vehicle.
Hoonigan’s Audi R8 V10 video was made by Mike Tornabene (also known as Dom Mazzetti, or Bro Science Life). Tornabene modified his R8 V10 to include a VF Engineering Supercharger, which increases the V10’s power far beyond stock. The R8 V10 was able to produce 595 horsepower (443 Kilowatts), and 501 lb (680 Newton Meters). At the wheels, it produced 501 lb (680 Newton Meters). The Audi R8 V10 has an all-wheel drive car, so there is some power loss to the drivetrain.
Audi’s first-generation Audi R8 was a landmark vehicle. It transformed the Audi lineup upon its debut in 2006. The R8 was Audi’s first supercar. It also benefited from Lamborghini’s ownership by VW Group, which shared many components. Audi engineers created the Audi R8 to be a practical supercar, with a unique identity.
