Ford’s fourth-generation C519 Ford Focus was introduced in 2018. Ford has a long tradition of making the Focus a driver’s vehicle with hot hatchback trims such as the Focus ST or the top-of the-line Focus RS. AutoTop NL’s Autobahn testing allows us to see the fourth-generation Focus ST in action.
The Fourth Generation Ford Focus has been discontinued in the United States. Ford had previously sold the Mustang and decided to sell the Focus instead.
2022 Ford Focus ST features a turbocharged, 2.3-liter inline-4 engine that produces 280 horsepower (208 Kilowatts), and 310 lbft (420 Newton meters) of torque. The 2.3-liter inline-4 engine is a tuned version of the one found in the previous Ford Focus RS. It produces 350 hp (265 Kilowatts), and 350 lb (475 Newton Meters). Ford Focus ST is available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed torque converter auto.
