It will replace the existing two-door model.
The Audi TT Sportback, which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show four years ago, was a practical version of the Ingolstadt Tourist Trophy. It featured two rear seats that can be used and two doors. A new report indicates that the concept behind the Audi TT Sportback will become a production version for its fourth generation TT. This vehicle is also celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2018.
Although this is not surprising, there was a concept. However, the plot twist is that the TT we now know will cease to exist. The new four-door coupe is rumored to replace all existing two-door models once the all-new TT arrives in the next two years.
Auto Express It is confirmed that the project is complete. Audi’s High-ranking executives have already given their approval for a 4-door TT.
The four-door coupe version will be larger than the current TT to provide a more spacious interior. The wheelbase will be extended by 120 millimeters (4.7inches) and the overall length by 290mm (11.4inches). It will also be about 60mm (2.4inches) wider than the TT that is available in showrooms.
The new Audi TT will be riding on the updated MQB platform of Volkswagen Group. It will come with a variety of mild-hybrid gasoline engines and diesel engines as well as a plug in hybrid setup and even a pure-electric powertrain.
Although the report does not indicate where the TT Sportback would be placed within Audi’s vast product range, logic suggests that it would be below the A5 Sportback. The Mercedes CLA, and the long-rumored BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe will be rivals. Both are sleek sedans that are front-wheel-drive platforms with AWD.
