The first official details regarding the Z06 high-performance Z06 Corvette variant will be revealed in July. It wouldn’t surprise that the model will have a unique exterior color. This is because it is a way to make a new car more desirable.

The Z06 will be striking even if it doesn’t get a different color. It allegedly adopted the 5.5-liter V8 of the C8.R racing car. The redline is reported to be higher than 8,000 rpm, thanks to dual overhead camshafts with a flat-plane crankshaft. Road-going versions of the powerplant may have 600 lb-ft (814 nm) and 650 HP (485 kW).

The rumored addition of the Z06 is not confirmed. It’s unclear what Chevy may do to the 2022 Corvette. The modifications for the 2021 model-year included Red Miste Metallic Tintcoat replacing Long Beach Red Metallic Tintcoat, and the addition Silver Flare Metallic. New color options were also available. The model came with interior options including Sky Cool Gray or Strike Yellow upholstery.
