It will be offered as a package with certain midsize luxury sedans in the United States.

Customers who want to add some flair to their 5Series purchase may need to wait until BMW introduces the Carbon Edition. Bimmer post has learned that the U.S. division of BMW will soon offer an optional package for the luxury sports sedan. It is available in the 530i/530i/540i/540i xDrive versions.

The Carbon Edition is a collection of carbon fiber updates taken from the extensive M Performance catalog. You will find goodies like a front splitter and rear spoiler lip, a trunk lid spoiler, and a rear diffuser – all made from carbon fiber. BMW also includes a set rocker panel decals as well as a matte black bumper trim. It’s important to note that the Carbon Edition badge signifies that it’s not a regular 5er.

The Carbon Edition includes hardware upgrades such as the M Sport Package and M-branded brakes. 19-inch alloy wheels with a double-spoke design are also included. The 5 Series will feature black Dakota leather and blue stitching.

Bimmer states that the package will cost you $4,668. It will be available sometime during the second quarter.

The BMW Individual Composition Package was introduced to the 5 Series in Europe at the start of this year. It includes both the sedan and wagon styles. The package includes M aerodynamic package and M Sport suspension. M Sport brakes. 20-inch wheels, LED fog lamps, trapezoidal exhausts, and new colors from the Individual catalogue. There are illuminated M-branded sill plates, M-flavored bits, and fancy leather on the interior.

The 7th-generation 5 Series has only been in existence for less than 3 years. Therefore, a mid-cycle update won’t likely be released until either the 2nd half of 2020 or the 1st quarter of 2021.
