2021 Nissan Sentra Adds Standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto For $320 More

There are no hardware upgrades for the new model year.

The new Sentra gives Nissan a small, stylish sedan. We discovered this during our review of 2020 Sentra SR. Although it may still feel like a cheap rental car in certain aspects, it is a well-equipped and reasonably priced vehicle. The Sentra’s new model year is slightly more costly. The starting MSRP for 2020 is $19,410. This price includes handling and destination. All trim levels and configurations now have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto standard. The 2021 Sentra is already available for order across the country and features the same 2.0-liter engine as the previous model year. Mated to a continuously variable transmission, the four-banger is good for 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque and is not exactly performance-oriented.

The 2021 model year will have some new features. Nissan Connect Services and a Wi Fi hotspot are optional features that are available on the SR-grade. An optional new two-tone exterior paint combination, Electric Blue Metallic with Black Roof, is available to the SR trim. The Sentra SR is the top-of-the-line model for the model year 2021. The Sentra SR starts at $21,750 without options, while the Sentra SV mid-grade starts at $20,470 before handling or destination. All 2021 trims include safety features such as blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.
