The British hypercar sounds amazing from the inside as well as on flybys.
Aston Martin unveiled the Valkyrie Pro, a track-only version for the Valkyrie hypercar almost a year ago. Although the Pro lacks the road-going electric motor, it still produces a lot of power and has an exhaust note that is quite eargasmic.
When the Valkyrie Pro visited Bahrain last March, it proved its ear candy reputation. The British hypercar now makes its debut on American soil, specifically at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. YouTuber Speed Phenom shows us a preview of the track day while AerialAutomotive got a ride-along.
Both cases featured the Valkyrie Pro’s distinctive exhaust note. The track-only hypercar sound great, whether it was inside or out during flybys.
The Valkyrie Pro’s power comes a naturally-aspirated Cosworth-built, 6.5-liter V12. The production version of the engine produces up to 1,000 horsepower and revs at 11,000 rpm. This massive power is combined with a light body thanks to the carbon fiber body and carbon suspension wishesbones. Dietary guidelines for the Valkyrie Pro were also made easier by the Perspex windscreen, side windows, and other features.
Aston Martin boasts about the track toy’s downforce. It actually has twice as much downforce than the road-going model when it is equipped with the extreme aero package. This allows for lateral accelerations of over 3G. It was truly a unique experience, as you can see from the ride-along video.
Laguna Seca saw the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro attend thanks to the fourth annual Hypercar Invitational – a private event benefiting Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area.
