LaFerrari’s successor is expected to arrive “soon”, while the electric model will be available in 2025.
The product roadmap of Ferrari for 2018-2022 included 15 products. Now, the Prancing Horse has made the same promise for the interval 2023-2026. Expect a new batch 15 cars that will be unveiled in September by the Purosangue SUV. The all-electric model will also be a first for the Italian marque. This will be released in 2025, the company confirms. In this time frame, a hypercar will also be available.
Only 40% of Ferraris will still use ICE engines by 2026. 55 percent of them will be hybrids, and the remaining 5% will be EVs. By 2030, the ratios will shift significantly. ICE will account for only 20% of all Ferraris. 40 percent will be hybrids while the remaining 40 percent will remain purely electric. To give you an example, 80 percent of cars that were delivered in 2021 used ICE-only technology, while the remaining 20 percent used hybrids.
As such, the company will not export what it calls “electric engines”, as they will be built in Maranello. The core models , including the SUV, will make up approximately 85 percent of total sales. The remaining 10% will be dedicated to Special Series models (e.g. 812 Competizione) and 5 percent to Icona Series (e.g. Daytona SP3 and the LaFerrari substitute.
The teaser image at the top shows the Le Mans Daytona prototype that Ferrari will be testing over the next few weeks. Although it is not clear if the hypercar will be connected to Formula 1 or the LMDh program, we know that the car will need to step up to the challenge of following the LaFerrari.
Ferrari made bold promises to achieve carbon neutrality by the end of this decade during the Capital Markets Day. To clean up the area, an Italian reforestation program called “Bosco Ferrari”, will be established.
