Jaguar to Celebrate 75 Years of Sports Cars with Special F-Types Later in the Year

Jaguar’s last sports car with internal combustion will be the F-Type.

Jaguar is experiencing rapid changes as it strives to be a leading manufacturer of luxury electric vehicles. Jaguar’s entire brand will need to be redesigned in light of this new paradigm shift. Jaguar is working fast to develop an electric vehicle architecture that will take the brand into the future. Jaguar is celebrating its iconic internal combustion cars, such as the F-Type, by embracing new technology. A special trim will be added later in the year.

Jaguar will celebrate its beloved internal combustion engines and will spend much time on the Jaguar F-Type. The F-Type will be Jaguar’s last internal combustion engine sports car. It will be a great celebration of the past.

Thierry Bollore, Auto Express Jaguar Land Rover CEO, spoke out about the future of JLR. Bollore stated that Jaguars will use a new EV platform currently in development. Test mules are expected to hit the roads very soon. The Jaguar brand will use this platform to move into an EV-based future, where it plans on selling high-end EVs at a price point of $100,000.

The Jaguar brand and its future plans were almost invisible before this news. Bollore explains how JLR quietly worked on the new Jaguar EV platform, while simultaneously promoting its new Land Rover Defender 130 three row SUV.

Jaguar will continue to work towards this future and only the electric iPace SUV will be kept in the current lineup. It will bridge the gap for Jaguar. All current Jaguar internal combustion Jaguars will either become EVs or disappear into history.
